Doug graduated from the University of Florida and is a member of Tau Sigma Delta. He is a part of the Construction Specifications Institute and served as the Fort Lauderdale Chapter President, Vice President and Secretary.  He has also worked as the Southeast Region Awards Chairman as well as the Education Chairman.  Doug is part of the National Asbestos Council, The Riverwalk 100, the Rotary Club of Downtown Fort Lauderdale and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He worked with the City of Lauderdale Lakes Planning and Zoning Boards from 1984-1988 and was a member of the Broward County School District Facility Task Force, Indoor Air Quality Sub-Committee.
